LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Rio Grande's trip to The Vegas Shoot - often referred to as The Super Bowl of Archery - resulted in a third place finish overall for the RedStorm.
Three Rio archers shot perfect scores of 300 - freshman Matteja Metcalf (Piedmont, S.C.) on Day 1 and the duo of junior Emalee Wooldridge (Vernal, UT) and senior Matthew Russell (Loganville, GA) on Day 3.
Freshman Colton Green (Bloomfield, OH) and sophomore Braden Reed (Grayson, KY), who both competed in the Professional Class (Championship Division), shot perfect scores on all 3 days for a total of 900 - a feat only achieved by 31 professional archers at this year's event.
