     RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande trailed just once in each of the first two sets and led set three from start to finish, cruising to a 25-20, 25-15, 25-17 rout of Carolina University, Wednesday night, in non-conference men's volleyball action at the Newt Oliver Arena.
     The game was the makeup of a snowout from February 7.
     The RedStorm won for a seventh straight time, pushing their season mark to 8-2.
     Carolina, a member of the NAIA's Continental Athletic Conference based in Winston-Salem, N.C., slipped to 1-6 with the loss.
     The Bruins led 1-0 in set one and 3-2 in set two, but trailed throughout the rest of the contest.
     Carolina had more attack errors than kills in all three sets, finishing the night with 13 kills and 21 errors in 65 total swings (-.123).
     The Bruins also committed 15 service errors.
     Rio Grande had 21 service errors of its own, but finished with a .300 attack percentage (34 kills, 13 errors, 70 swings).
     Sophomore Daniel Rivas (Valle Del Cauca, Colombia) led the RedStorm with nine kills, while sophomore Camilo Murillo (Cali, Colombia) and senior Mitch Bartecki (Valparaiso, IN) had 14 and 11 assists, respectively. Bartecki surpassed the 2,000-mark in career assists in the process.
     Sophomore Aevin Dotter (Pickerington, OH) had eight digs in the win, while senior Cam Griffith (Columbus, OH) had a solo block and two block assists.
     Sam Gruver led Carolina with seven kills, while Jacob Grenier-Richie had 10 assists and Fritz Hall had seven digs.
     Rio Grande will return to action on Saturday when it travels to Brescia University for a River States Conference match.
     First serve is set for 5 p.m. EST.
