Skeens grabs third weekly honor from RSC

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - For the third time this year, Ella Skeens from No. 12-ranked University of Rio Grande is the River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Brown & Brown Insurance. This latest award is for Jan. 2-8.
     Skeens, a senior from Chillicothe, Ohio, averaged 22.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 48 percent from the field across three games. The RedStorm (15-2) went 2-1 on the week with a pair of RSC wins and a lone loss to No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan.
     Skeens had 28 points despite the loss to IWU. She followed that up with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds in a win over IU Kokomo. and then had 15 points and three assists win a victory over St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.).
