RedStorm women win OBC No. 4

     COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande women's bowling team took first place honors in Saturday's Ohio Bowling Conference No. 4 event at the Columbus Bowling Palace.
     The RedStorm took down 6,204 pins over 32 rounds of baker play, posting a 112-pin victory over runner-up University of Northwestern Ohio, which is ranked No. 3 nationally.
     Muskingum University, which is ranked No. 22, finished in third place among the 12 competing schools with 5,844 pins.
     Rio Grande's roster for the event included sophomore Addison Jones (Winchester, OH), senior Hannah Halstead (Delaware, OH), junior Jaelyn Hughes (Indian Lake, OH), junior Julie LeMaster (Chillicothe, OH), freshman Keerstin Shaver (Vinton, OH), sophomore Lina Fernandez (Mechanicsburg, OH), senior Megan Foltz (South Point, OH) and junior Payton Goodman (Cardington, OH).
     Fernandez was named to the All-OBC Second Team and Shaver was honored as the RedStorm's Newcomer of the Year.
     Rio Grande will wrap up its regular season schedule next Friday and Saturday at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
